FOLS

Welcome to Lifton Community Primary School and to FOLS. As a parent of a child attending the school you are automatically a member of our fund raising group.  It would be great if you could come along and support our events, or if you prefer you could become a helper or stand for election to become a committee member. As a group we organise different fund raising and social events to enable our children to have the little extras the school budgets can’t afford.

Annual Fund Raising Events

Oct – Halloween Disco

Nov – Christmas Bingo

Dec – Elves Workshop

Feb – Valentine Disco

March/April – Easter Egg Hunt

July – Summer Fete & Duck Race

July – Leavers Disco / Prom

Termly Cake Sales

We meet roughly once every half term, either at the school or in the local pub (we try to alternate the time and place to give everyone the opportunity to come along if they wish). There are also mini meetings after school to finalize any details of a fund raising event. You do not have to commit to anything by coming to a meeting. Money Raised In the last school year we were able to give the school funds for: A new outside shelter which is has improved the children’s outside learning facilities. Enabling the school to hold outside assemblies and to provide shelter for the parents & children. A school trip for all children to see the Theater Royal’s pantomime. Contribution towards the school chickens. Transport the year 6 children to the residential at 9 Ashes, Bodmin. Tops for when the children go to tournaments. Our AGM and coffee morning are held at the school usually in Oct and is a very informal affair. This is a good opportunity to come along and meet everyone. If you would like to learn more about FOLS or have any fundraising ideas please pop along to our next meeting or come and find us in the playground.
